We’re talking about the flat panel below the A/C duct. On the legend, it’s Part No. 10, “Instrument Side Finisher.” The legend seems to indicate “Metal Clip” for that part.
Would you expect that part to pull off?
As in, grab hold and pull? My aim is ton install a digital water temperature gauge there, as the instrument cluster does not come equipped with one.

My guess is the metal clip is actually the thing securing the panel. If you can get some fingers around an edge, pull firmly. See if it pops off.

Is there a reason why it’s labeled as 2011 Nissan-Datsun Versa?

Some metal clips are yank and pull, some require a fiber stick to separate the panels near the clips to disengage them. I’m guessing these are the former?

If I can’t find fasteners and there’s some yield to the part, I usually try pulling. Sometimes I find the missing fastener. Sometimes the part comes off a set of clips. A very small percentage of the time the fastener/fastening method was utter BS, giving just enough rope for me to hang myself...
I’d say if you cant find anything the odds are pretty good for just pulling.

i bet those 4 squares indicate fasteners. When i cant see things i stuff my phone up there, point in the general direction and start taking photos

Automotive plastics are pretty stern stuff. If it’s permanently attached to other things, then it’ll be pretty noticeable. If it seems like it’s flexing to the point of doing damage it maybe doesn’t pop off. But most automotive interiors now just pop together. Much more efficient to assemble when all you need to do is put it in place and smack it with the heel of your hand a couple times.

That’s more or less my thinking. “Pull and pray,” my friend with the auto shop says. Still, it makes me nervous...
